We provide professional lactate testing services to help riders understand their physiological limits and train more effectively. Through structured testing and data analysis, VSG helps athletes identify optimal training zones and improve endurance, pacing, and overall performance.

Overview
Lactate testing for cyclists is a physiological assessment that measures blood lactate concentration during incremental exercise to determine an athlete’s optimal training intensity zones. As exercise intensity increases, the body begins producing lactate faster than it can clear it. By taking small blood samples at different effort levels, we can identify key physiological markers, specifically the aerobic threshold (LT1) and anaerobic threshold (LT2).
By identifying these thresholds, lactate testing allows cyclists to train with greater precision, ensuring that each training session targets the correct physiological system. Instead of relying solely on estimated heart rate or perceived effort, athletes can train based on individualised physiological data, improving endurance development, pacing strategies, and race performance.
